Beijing is an ancient city with over 1000 years of history. I live and work in Beijing and can honestly say you will never see a city like this. There are tons of places to see like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Beihai Park, Temple of Heaven, and so many other places. Beijing is probably most known for the famous Great Wall of China, easily seen Beijing. It will take about 1.5 hrs to 4 hours depending on which part you want to see. Also the food is amazing and there are tons of great Chinese and foreign restaurants to choose from. Beijing Roast Duck is the most famous and delicious. When you come Beijing, you will love this fantastic forbidden city tour.

There are many scams to watch out for. Two of the most infamous scams know in Beijing are the black taxis and the bar girls. The black taxis look like regular cars, just black. They will not have a meter and the drivers usually target foreigners. They will charge outrageous amounts of money trying to take advantage of you. Avoid these taxis at all costs. A real taxi will start with the letter "B" on the license plate. The Forbidden City tour, there is joy, there is excitement, there is disappointment, but it is worth, I will remember this day!The other scam you need to watch out for are the girls that will come up to foreign men asking them to go have a drink at a bar. They will pretend they are interested in them, flirt and do whatever it takes to get them to a bar to start drinking.

After some time, they will say they have no money and that you will have to pay for the whole bill, which will be some crazy amount of money. Avoid these girls! They usually hang out on the famous Wangfujing Ave. If you go to this street and are a foreign man, I can almost 100 percent guarantee these girls will come up to you. Don' fall for it!
